PS3 vs 360

Street Fighter IV is arriving on both systems in a couple weeks. If you have both consoles, like Mike does, there’s a question here. On which system should you buy it? I think most would say PS3 (which Mike will probably agree). Does the new SFIV D-pad change anyone’s mind? I snapped one up for the 360 at Best Buy today.

The thing is the PS3 has the same controllers (plus a limited edition Akuma one). Sony’s are also wireless, unlike the 360′s. Which is nicer. But which edition will likely sell better than the other?

Holy crap… I need one of those controllers.

I have a 360, so I’ll probably pick up that version at some point.

The 360 has the Live infrastructure, which is, as far as I know, more popular than the PSN. It’ll have achievements, which, in my opinion, isn’t enough of a reason to sway a purchase, but I know some people who would take that into account.

However without the special controller, I think the PS3 would definitely be the way to go.

Even though I’m getting a PS3 soon, I’m going to buy the 360 version, as well as an arcade stick. Dunno whether to get a MadCatz stick or a Hori stick though. Probably Hori due to MadCatz bad reputation.

I suspect the 360 version will sell more, if only for it’s prevalence and more reliable Live play. But more of the PS3′s sales will be the special edition, because a lot of people (like my brother) want the Ryu figure and the accompanying anime on Blu-Ray.
